PrecisePK was originally designed in 1986 by Philip Anderson, PharmD, FASHP, and other UC San Diego pharmacy consultants and programmed by Anjum Gupta, Ph.D. It was deployed at the UC San Diego Medical Center and Rady Children's Hospital in 1987 as TDMS 2000. In 2015, TDMS 2000 was rebranded as PrecisePK, and continuously improved features like advanced acute kidney injury (AKI) analytics and electronic health record (EHR) integration were introduced to make PrecisePK a robust web-based platform.
